Gesine Danckwart & Katrin Hentschel:
OST-WEST-KANTINE

Collective dialogue

Over four days surrounding the date of 3 October, theatre-makers Gesine Danckwart and Katrin Hentschel open an ‘East-West Canteen’ at the Akademie der Künste to mark the 35-years anniversary of German reunification. Around a shared table, stories, attitudes, designs, music and menus invite guests to discuss and celebrate German reunification and European borders. Topics include sustainability and shared visions for the future: Join this collective dialogue with citizens and tourists, choirs and soloists, professors and theatre-makers, artists and canteen staff alike...
