Akademiefenster Werner Stötzer

Book Presentation

The human being is the focus of Werner Stötzer’s art. Not only is the human figure the subject of his works, but equally he invites beholders to engage with the existential questions these works raise. Werner Stötzter (1931-2010) was not only one of Germany’s leading sculptors, but also an incisive writer, as is evident in his pieces now published in the akademiefenster series.
In 2007 in Waldsieversdorf, Werner Stötzer recalled a trip to China, over fifty years before, with John Heartfield and Harald Metzkes.

Music: The "Duo im Goldrausch" with Sabina Matthus-Bébié (Switzerland), clarinet, and Felix Kroll, accordion, play works by Bach, Katzer, Eisler and Oehring.
