EM4 | Berliner Studios für elektroakustische Musik:
Posthuman Listening

Concert

Technologies and algorithms, but also a new way of thinking changes us and nature. Exploring relationships between animal sounds and human hearing, the concert speculates on differences between electronic (post-human) sound systems and the noises of “lower” life forms. Works by David Dunn resonate with recordings of the tiniest living creatures, as does Kirsten Reese's performance with insect sounds taken from the Tierstimmenarchiv (a Berlin archive dedicated to animal sounds) and Fairlight CMI's archaic digital sounds. Presented by Golo Föllmer.
