Please observe all access restrictions currently in place for Akademie buildings:

When visiting exhibitions and guided tours:

You are also required to wear an FFP2 mask throughout the entire Akademie building and to document your attendance.

Please maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres from other people.

Since some audio installations in the exhibition „Arbeit am Gedächtnis – Transforming Archives“ can only be enjoyed with headphones, it is recommended that you bring your own headphones (3.5 mm jack plug).

Small bags (no larger than A5) are permitted in the exhibition halls.

There is no obligation to test. Proof of vaccination or recovery is not required.


When visiting events:
Visiting is possible upon presentation of one of the following proofs:

Tested persons must present a negative rapid test result. The test must have been performed within the last 24 hours. An overview of the test centres in your area is available here.

Vaccinated persons must show their vaccination card or a similar document showing that the complete vaccination was given at least 14 days ago.

Those who have recovered must show a positive PCR test result that is at least 28 days and no more than six months old.

Recovered vaccinated persons need a positive PCR test as proof, which must be at least 28 days old, as well as their vaccination card or a similar document showing that they were vaccinated once more than a fortnight ago.

Because our coat check services are only available in a limited capacity and are unsupervised, we ask that you refrain from bringing large bags with you.

We recommend purchasing online tickets in advance: www.adk.de/tickets. Seating is limited in the rooms and spaces used for special events.

When visiting the Brecht-Weigel Museum and the Anna Seghers Museum:

The museums may only be visited as part of a guided tour, whereby the number of people is limited to smaller groups in order to maintain the minimum distance - in accordance with the current hygiene framework concept of the Senate Department for Culture. For school classes, the current special conditions apply according to the hygiene framework concept of the Senate Department for Culture.

When entering the areas of the Archives, hands must be sufficiently disinfected. Disinfectant dispensers are available for this purpose at the entrances.

Attendance Documentation

In order to fight the Covid-19 pandemic, the Akademie der Künste is obliged to collect your data. These shall only be used to trace possible routes of infection and forwarded to the competent health authorities upon request.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR (processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person). This includes the processing of personal data to monitor epidemics and their spread.
Your contact details shall be kept for a period of four weeks and then deleted.
